Grapes: 100% Cortese

Location: Canelli (Asti) Piedmont.

Opinion: area famous for its sweet wines (Moscato), even if often the ones that steal the scene are the big wineries with quantitative rather than qualitative productions; nothing to do with this small family-run business. Cortese is courteous, as the name says, a soft fine wine with hints, perfumes and acidity not accentuated. I do not recommend it to those who do not have a minimum palate, given the difficulty in perceiving the chamomile, thyme, daisy etc.

Pairings: a gastronomic wine, aimed at delicate light dishes based on vegetables perhaps, excellent with flan and eggs.
